Didn't study it closely, but I would have to guess that Tom's .b must have ended and it is now his .c/4

To try to keep the count current, technically since we didn't break pivots we could keep the count as is, but I don't know how to fit the following section:

Shouldn't we put that as a 3 wave corrective? ( move from 15:30 to close yesterday, confirmed by price this morning)
Finster, yes makes sense. That 3 wave and the next 3 wave at 9:30 to 10:40 (not confirmed) will be defining the counts. Sorry can't do full counts, is time consuming and at work.

That's what i got ;-) Lets see how it goes. 1997 is where we should have to readjust the bigger level
Hey guys. This is my first post. I'm trying to piece together the counts and learn the NEWR way of doing it. I look forward to posting when I'm on the same page with you guys.
One question looking at Finster's last $spx count--I see the futures made a new high overnight prior to the drop. Does anyone count the 24 hr sessions? Do we need to? What are the pros and cons of using the SPX vs the futures?
Enjoying the site. Thanks for the info Tom.

Welcome to the site, I am only a few weeks into it myself. Seeing how this can be applied for trading.
I started with ES but I gave up because of the lack of detail. In my counts I didn't find the overnight data added much.

Hi Eric. We have debated back and forth on whether to use future data or not, and there should be posts on this throughout the site. I don't remember what our final verdict was, or the reason for it, but Tom generally tends to use spx instead of futures. I, personally, have gone back and forth. If you see the answer in an old thread please post it so I am reminded of it :o)
Perhaps Tom will chime in and tell us his preference, and the reasons for it, a second time.
